Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam is gearing up for a challenging tour of South Africa, emphasizing fitness and power-hitting skills ahead of the series. Azam has been undergoing rigorous gym sessions to elevate his physical fitness and refine his batting abilities to face the Proteas’ bowling attack. The South African tour will commence with the first T20I on December 10 in Durban.
The Pakistan cricket team departed for South Africa following a “bittersweet” tour of Zimbabwe, where they secured 2-1 victories in both the ODI and T20I series. While the team managed to clinch both series, the close margins of victory underscored areas needing improvement before the tougher contests in South Africa.
