The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has officially opened its registration process for foreign players for the league’s 10th edition, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Thursday. Alongside player registration, the trade window has also been opened for franchise teams.
PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming season. “The PSL is a home-grown brand we are all proud of,” he stated. “Since its inception in 2016, we have embarked on a long and successful journey with our franchise owners, commercial partners, and stakeholders.”
The much-anticipated PSL player draft is scheduled for January 11, while the announcement of category renewals will take place on December 17. The tournament is set to run from April 8 to May 19, 2025.
Since its launch, the PSL has seen Islamabad United dominate the league with three titles, including the inaugural season in 2016, the third edition in 2018, and the latest in 2024. Lahore Qalandars claimed back-to-back victories in 2022 and 2023, while Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators, Karachi Kings, and Multan Sultans each have a single title to their name, won in 2017, 2019, 2020, and 2021, respectively.
