Saim Ayub, a rising star in Pakistan cricket, has made a dramatic ascent in the ICC Men’s ODI Batting Rankings. Ayub’s two centuries in the series against South Africa propelled him from 70th to a joint-23rd position, a testament to his growing prowess. With a total of 603 points, Ayub’s consistent performances have also earned him recognition in the all-rounders’ rankings, where he climbed 113 places to secure the joint-42nd spot, thanks to his notable contributions with the ball.
Australia’s Travis Head has made significant strides in the ICC Men’s Test Batting Rankings following his stellar performances in the ongoing series. Head’s brilliant 152 at the Gabba, combined with his century in Adelaide, has propelled him to fourth place with 825 points, bringing him closer to the top three.
Steve Smith, another Australian stalwart, has re-entered the top 10 after a century in the third Test against India. Meanwhile, India’s KL Rahul climbed ten spots to 40th after his gritty display in the first innings of the Brisbane Test.
