Organizers officially announced the squads for all participating teams on Tuesday, promising an action-packed series with a blend of international stars and homegrown talent.
The opening day will treat fans to a spectacular triple-header, setting the tone for a high-energy competition. Among the franchises, the Colombo Jaguars are led by former Sri Lankan captain Angelo Mathews and coached by the legendary Chaminda Vaas. The team boasts a powerful lineup that includes Matheesha Pathirana, Kamindu Mendis, Pakistan’s Asif Ali, and England’s Jason Roy.
The Galle Marvels, under the seasoned guidance of Graham Ford, feature spin maestro Maheesh Theekshana as captain. Other key players include Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Binura Fernando, Alex Hales, and Luke Wood, ensuring a formidable side.
The Hambantota Bangla Tigers bring their firepower with Dasun Shanaka as captain, supported by notable names like Kusal Janith Perera, Shevon Daniel, and Afghanistan’s Hazratullah Zazai. Meanwhile, the Jaffna Titans, under coach James Foster, feature all-rounder David Wiese as captain, backed by Muhammad Amir, Kusal Mendis, and Charith Asalanka.
The Kandy Bolts, led by Thisara Perera and coached by Sachith Pathirana, present a solid mix of experience and talent, including Dinesh Chandimal, Pathum Nissanka, and Scotland’s George Munsey.
