PAK vs SA: Pakistan Players Depart for Month-Long South Africa Tour

The Pakistan cricket team has departed for South Africa following a “bittersweet” tour of Zimbabwe, where they secured 2-1 victories in both the ODI and T20I series. On Friday, it was revealed that players such as Salman Ali Agha, Abbas Afridi, Jahandad Khan, Sufiyan Muqeem, Tayyab Tahir, and Omair Bin Yousuf were among those who headed to Durban.

Key players including white-ball captain Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam, and Shaheen Shah Afridi are set to join the squad directly in Durban. Meanwhile, Haseebullah, Arafat Minhas, Aamer Jamal, Sahibzada Farhan, and Qasim Akram traveled back to Pakistan via Dubai after completing their commitments.

Pakistan’s South Africa tour includes three T20Is, three ODIs, and two Test matches. The team aims to carry forward their momentum from the Zimbabwe series into the upcoming games.

Earlier PCB announced squads for all three formats including Tests, ODIs and T20s. Mohammad Rizwan is set to captain the T20 and ODI sides while Shan Masood will captain the Test squad.

The Zimbabwe tour, though successful, was described as bittersweet due to the narrow margins of victory, highlighting areas for improvement as the team gears up for tougher competition in South Africa.

In Pakistan, the matches will be broadcast on A Sports, while fans can stream the action digitally on ARY Zap, ensuring widespread access to the highly anticipated series.
