  • by

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is gearing up for its 2025 draft, scheduled to take place in the first week of January at the iconic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that the ceremony will begin at 5 PM, with player selections kicking off an hour later at 6 PM.

For this year’s draft, six franchises will declare their player retentions ahead of the event, setting the stage for an exciting selection process. Multan Sultans have been granted the first pick, adding to the anticipation as teams strategize for the upcoming season.

The draft will feature top-tier talent from around the world, with international stars such as Steve Smith, David Warner, and Kane Williamson expected to be part of the lineup. However, players with red-ball contracts under the England Cricket Board (ECB), including Jason Roy, will not be participating due to recent policy changes.
