Pakistan cricket stars Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Afridi have made notable gains in the latest ICC T20I rankings, showcasing their impressive form. However, skipper Babar Azam has faced a setback, slipping in the standings.
Mohammad Rizwan climbed two spots to secure the sixth position in the T20I batting rankings with 713 points, driven by his brilliant 74-run innings in the first T20I against South Africa. Meanwhile, Shaheen Afridi rose six places to 20th in the T20I bowling rankings after a stellar performance where he claimed three wickets, taking his career tally to 100 wickets in T20I cricket.
Babar Azam dropped two spots to seventh in the T20I batting rankings, with 710 points, following a disappointing outing where he was dismissed for a duck in the same match. No other Pakistani batter currently features in the top 50 of the T20I rankings.
Australia’s Travis Head leads the T20I batting rankings with 855 points, followed by England’s Phil Salt (829) and Indiaโs Tilak Varma (806). In the bowling department, England’s Adil Rashid remains the top-ranked bowler with 701 points, trailed by Sri Lankaโs Wanindu Hasaranga (696) and Australiaโs Adam Zampa (694).
In ODIs, Pakistanโs top-order batters Fakhar Zaman (16th), Imam-ul-Haq (18th), and Mohammad Rizwan (24th) have held their positions. However, young opener Saim Ayub dropped to 79th, and Shadab Khan slipped to 99th in the bowling rankings. Shaheen Afridi continues to shine, holding the second spot in ODI bowling with 675 points, just behind Afghanistanโs Rashid Khan.
In ICC Test rankings, Saud Shakeel remains Pakistanโs highest-ranked batter at ninth (724 points). Babar Azam climbed to 18th, closely followed by Salman Agha (19th) and Mohammad Rizwan (20th). Noman Ali re-entered the top 10 bowlers, securing the 10th spot, while Shaheen Afridi dropped to 18th. Indiaโs Jasprit Bumrah leads the Test bowling rankings with 890 points.
Harry Brook has dethroned Joe Root as the top Test batter with 898 points. Root is now in second place (897), followed by New Zealandโs Kane Williamson (812). Among Test bowlers, South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada and Australiaโs Josh Hazlewood continue to hold prominent positions behind Bumrah.
