The West Indies have made two injury-enforced changes to their squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Bangladesh at home. Pacers Marquino Mindley and Jediah Blades have been called up to replace injured seamers Matthew Forde and Shamar Joseph.
Injury Concerns Force Replacements
Forde and Joseph were ruled out due to injuries sustained in recent matches. Forde is recovering from a thigh injury picked up against England last month, while Joseph is dealing with shin splints from the recent Test series against Bangladesh. Their absence prompted the inclusion of Mindley and Blades in the 15-member squad.
New Faces in the Squad
Both Mindley and Blades have earned their spots following impressive performances in the Super50 ODI tournament. Mindley, the leading wicket-taker in the competition, receives his maiden ODI call-up, while Blades, also a standout performer in the same tournament, is in line for his first international cap.
Series Schedule
The ODI series will be held entirely in St Kitts & Nevis, starting on December 8, with subsequent matches scheduled for December 10 and December 12. This series provides an opportunity for the West Indies to test their depth and for the newcomers to make their mark on the international stage.
